Born in Mexico and raised in Texas, my work is influenced by my childhood years of playing with Mexican wrestling dolls and being mesmerized by my mom's delicate Geisha Doll behind that impenetrable glass case. Only in the past few years have I found fabric, thread and needle a new medium to create art, fashion and stuffed creatures. The reason I sew and make stuffed creatures is simply because I enjoy the entire process of creating something with nothing more than fabric and my own imagination. My goal is to create work that stimulates one's cherished childhood experiences. A time when our innocence was untouched by the stresses of an adult life. Whether or not people experience that nostalgia is extraneous, what is important is that people take what they will from my work, hopefully a smile.
